Life in the Present

Why isn’t the fish unhappy when it gets eaten by a shark? Because it had no other plans!

If there’s one thing Covid shows us, is that as much as we think we are in control, we actually control very little. It’s like we’re being collectively forced to surrender to a higher power, despite our best efforts.

That doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy life. Actually, we enjoy each moment more, knowing that controlling life is beyond our capacity… and our responsibility. Maybe the best plan, after all, is to roll with the punches, adapting to the moment, see what Life brings us… and learn to trust It again.

Ahh, to rediscover the beauty, the wonder, the fun!… of not-knowing.
